NionWeb Product Insights — Shopify app

This policy explains what data the NionWeb Product Insights app, developed by NionWeb, processes, why, and for how long it is kept.

The app does not collect or store personal data about your customers. It reads order data, but only the product identifier and the quantity sold; customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and payment details are never recorded.

Data we store

What we do not store

Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, payment and card details, IP addresses. The app does not request these fields from Shopify and never writes them to its database.

Product information

Total, active, draft, archived and missing-image product counts are queried live from Shopify on every page load and are not stored.

Access scopes

The app requests two scopes: read_products (product counts and list) and read_orders (units sold per product). Both are read-only; the app never modifies anything in your store.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall it, session data is deleted immediately. When Shopify's shop/redact notification arrives (within 48 hours of uninstalling), all records for your shop are permanently deleted: sales totals, the daily breakdown, processed order identifiers and sync state.

Shopify's customers/data_request and customers/redact notifications are also handled; because no customer data is stored, there is nothing to hand over or erase for those requests.

Data transfer

Data is stored on servers operated by NionWeb and is never sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes. The app sends no store data to any external service other than the Shopify Admin API.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send your request to the address below; we respond within 30 days. info@nionweb.com

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date on this page is revised. If a change broadens the types of data we store, installed shops are notified by email.
